It was 1610 when our founder, Tobei-Masataka Takenaka, began operations as a master builder of shrines and temples in Nagoya.

Now, more than 400 years later, our mission as a builder remains the same.

Our founder was a master builder (toryo) and was the first in a long line of craftsmen who would dedicate themselves to producing the best possible architectural works for their customers.

In our Integrated Design-Build System, the spirit of Japanese carpentry lives on as Takenaka still carries out projects meticulously in line with our Total Quality Management, from the conceptual stage to completion.
