HISTORY

Takenaka came to Malaysia in year 1981 at the invitation of Malaysia’s Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir in line with his Look East Policy to construct Dayabumi Office Building on a fast-track joint venture.

We were localized in 1990 under the name TAKENAKA (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD.

1982 Established Takenaka Corporation in Kuala Lumpur
1984 Constructed Dayabumi Office Building by JV
1985 Constructed UMNO Complex Building, Malayan Banking Training Centre by JV
Singly constructed Merun Hotel, Pan Pacific Hotel
1989-2006 Constructed Japanese Industrial Factories at Shah Alam, Sungai Petani, Penang, etc., by Design & Build
Established TAKENAKA (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD.
1891-2014 Constructed Japanese Industrial Factories by Design & Build
1998 Constructed KLIA-1 Terminal by JV
